During the award ceremony, Minister Chan shared that collaboration between government agencies and the TACs will need to be strengthened to form better regulations. The TACs are on the ground and have an in-depth understanding of the industries. Therefore, he urged the TACs to build up the capability to understand the needs of the businesses so that they may “make coherent argument and have coherent discussion with the Government agencies.”
Minister Chan shared during his opening address that Government agencies and TACs must strengthen collaboration with each other in order to make better regulations.
In total, 28 awards were given out to businesses, trade associations and government agencies this year. The awards are based on the results from the Pro-Enterprise Ranking Survey, which has been conducted since 2004.
